Manolo Barrera, con el organista \u00c1ngel Ren\u00e9, apodado \u201cLa Maestra\u201d, y con los hermanos Vicente y Alfredo Maiquez montan temas de soul que interpretan en los descansos con gran \u00e9xito entre el p\u00fablico m\u00e1s joven. Deciden formar un grupo, pero les falta un cantante. La\u00a0ocasi\u00f3n les va a venir de cara cuando se enteran que Los Continentales han echado el cierre y su \u00faltimo cantante, Enrique Mart\u00ednez, que antes hab\u00eda estado en Los Buitres, se plantea formar un nuevo grupo. Pero no todo est\u00e1 resuelto, pues los hermanos Maiquez son fichados por Los Canarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El castellano Enrique se transforma en el anglosaj\u00f3n Henry y a finales del 67 se renuevan con la inclusi\u00f3n de nuevos componentes. Entran Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Panizo (bajo), Paco de Gregorio (saxo tenor), Jes\u00fas Moll y un bater\u00eda llamado Rafael.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Llaman la atenci\u00f3n de Jos\u00e9 Luis \u00c1lvarez, que por entonces dirige la empresa de publicidad Publivox y dirige la revista Fonorama, que les consigue un contrato en la Compa\u00f1\u00eda Espa\u00f1ola de M\u00fasica (CEM) con la que grabar\u00e1n dos sencillos en 1968. El primero en castellano:\u201cLl\u00e9vame, All\u00ed \/ Cuando Vuelva\u201d (CEM, 1968) es un loable intento de hacer soul en castellano, pero el segundo, cantado en ingl\u00e9s, es trilita pura. \u201cCome \/ You Love Me\u201d (CEM, 1968) se convierte en un \u00e9xito moderado a nivel nacional. Jes\u00fas es sustituido por el guitarrista, Francis Cervera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el verano de 1969 hacen una amplia gira de galas: Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, Valladolid y hasta tocan en la puesta de largo de una hija del Marqu\u00e9s de Jerez. Ese a\u00f1o, uno de los fundadores, Manolo Barrera, deja el grupo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Todav\u00eda en 1970 sacar\u00e1n un tercer sencillo, tambi\u00e9n en ingl\u00e9s, \u201cIt&#8217;s All Right \/ It Used to Be\u201d (CEM, 1970), de calidad muy estimable, pero que ya no alcanzar\u00eda la repercusi\u00f3n de los dos anteriores. En 1971 har\u00e1n sus \u00faltimas actuaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda y Francis entrar\u00e1n posteriormente en Aguaviva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
